CHOCOLATE SPICE COOKIES

If there's one thing me and my friends like to do when we get together after not seeing each other for a while it's baking. Today I met up with a friend who I've been seing more and more lately after not speaking to eachother for soooo long. We made these amazing spiced cookies (basically pumpkin spice without pumpkin if that makes any sense??) and I'm going to share the recipe with you guys!

These cookies are really easy to make and you've probably got all of the ingredients on hand already!

The recipe

- Pre heat your oven to 180 degrees celsius -

Ingredients:
- 175 grams of flour
- 125 grams of butter
- 125 grams of brown sugar
- 1/2 tbs of cacao powder
- 1/2 tbs spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger) - we used a spice mix
- 4 tbs milk
- 3 tbs cream cheese
- 50 grams milk chocolate
- 30 grams of butter
- 4 tbs icing sugar
- some sprinkles

1. Mix the flour, brown sugar, cacao powder and spices
2. Melt the butter in the microwave and add it to the dry ingredients
3. Lastly add the milk until you can make a nice ball of dough
4. Dust a flat surface with some icing sugar, roll out the dough and form the cookies from that
5. Put the cookies in the oven for 15-20 minutes
6. Put them on a cooling rack and let them cool completely before icing them

For the icing:
1. Melt the chocolate and the butter in the microwave (remeber to take it out and stir every 10-20 seconds)
2. Leave that to cool a bit and then add the cream cheese and icing sugar

No more bad body image days!

Hey guys!

I guess most of us have those days on which we just can't stand our body. Maybe you've got an eating disorder or you're on a diet or maybe you're just... self concious??
I myself have been struggeling with an eating disorder for the past four years. It's hard to like your body when all your life you've been told to hate it, but my body image has honestly gotten so much better over time. There's a few things I did in order to make that happen and I'm going to share these things with you.

1. THROW OUT YOUR SCALE (or at least; don't weigh yourself every day) - honestly though. As someone with an eating disorder my mood depends on my weight. If I've gained weight I'll have a terrible body image day.
"ew you're so fat" "look at your thighs omg'
If I've lost weight I'll have a good body image day.
"look at that booooty" "omg girl your legs look great"
THIS IS NOT GOOD. If you don't know your weight you won't see that extra pound in the mirror and you won't be able to feel upset about it!

2. Wear clothes you feel comforable in - if you're really self concious about your thighs in skinny jeans don't feel compelled to wear them. You can see if someone feels good in their clothes or not and honestly it's so much more attractive when you can see that someone is feeling comfortable in what they're wearing.

3. Eat healthy - to you it might seem like this has got nothing to do with body image but it sure does. If you're only going to eat unhealthy stuff you're not going to feel good about it, especially not if you're so focussed on your weight. What's important though, is that you don't cut out on everything unhealthy. By eating you're not only feeding your body but also your mind and it needs to be satisfied.

As obvious as these things are to me, they may not be obvious to you at all. I just really hope these tips help you, especially now that it's nearly christmas.

Don't let your weight rule your life, don't let it ruin christmas for you.

Where to start?

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my blog! I thought that since this is my first blog post it would be a good idea to introduce myself. I'm Isabelle, I'm 15 years old and I'm from a city close to Utrecht in the Netherlands. I love to sing and play guitar and lately I've been really into poetry.
All my life I've been pretty active. I used to do waterpolo, judo, jiu-jitsu, dancing and hockey. Some I quit a few years ago, the rest at the end of last year. Things were a bit shit at the time and I had to focus on school. Right now I take fitness classes and I run or go for walks. The world at six in the morning is so different, it's crazy.
I love food. Yes. I love to cook, I love to bake, I love to eat. Even though at the moment I'm trying to eat as healthy as I can; I love to indulge sometimes. I will be posting recipes and food diaries as well!

I guess that was it for the introduction,
tomorrow there will be another post whoop whooop,
                    see you then?
